Chandigarh remain cool due to western disturbances this month
The Met department has anticipated that western disturbances (WD’s) will hit Chandigarh four to five occasions this month, the most in March in a decade. For that reason, there can be extra cloudy or rainy days in March this year. Winter can be anticipated to last till the month end.
Chandigarh is likely to see the impact of WD’s for 4 to 5 instances this month. The WD’s have already hit the town thrice, together with the one under way, and a further two are predicted in the third and fourth weeks, of the month mentioned Surender Paul, Director, Meteorological department, Chandigarh.
He reasoned typical western disturbances were because of the polar vortex that generally spins over the North Pole. It has not directly ended in extreme and increased winters. The intensity and frequency of WDs have expanded now not simply in March but in earlier months too during this winters, he said.
The director also said, “This climate is effective for crops. There will likely be no scarcity of water. The month will see near normal or below common temperature”.
