Begum Kulsoom, the spouse of Pakistan’s former prime minister Nawaz Sharif, died today in London once a protracted battle with cancer, her family told.
Kulsoom, who was beneath treatment at London’s harley street Clinic since June 2014, was placed on life support earlier once her health deteriorated, Geo TV reported .
The health of the 68-year-old began serious on Monday night as she had developed a respiratory organ downside once more, the channel informed.
Kulsoom was diagnosed with cancer (throat) cancer in August last and had been in London since, wherever she underwent multiple surgeries and a minimum of 5 therapy sessions.She was placed on a ventilator in June following a pathology
Sharif’s brother and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz president Shehbaz Sharif confirmed her death in a his tweet. “My mother- in-law and also the spouse of Nawaz Sharif Sahib is no more amongst us. May God bless her soul,” he tweeted in Urdu.
Nawaz Sharif, her daughter Maryam associated relative-in-law Captain (retd) Muhammad Safdar area unit presently serving jail terms in Rawalpindi city for finding guilty is the corruption case in July.
Citing sources, the channel told Sharif, Maryam, and Safdar are aware regarding Kulsoom’s death.
According to sources, the Sharif family has set to bring back Kulsoom’s body to Pakistan, it said. “She are going to be ordered to rest in Pakistan,” the family confirmed.
Prime Minister Imran Khan has condoled the death of Kulsoom. In a very statement, the Prime Minister told all facilities are going to be provided to the family and heirs of Kulsoom as per law.The Prime Minister has directed the Pakistan High Commission in London to help in provision of all necessary facilities to the family of the deceased, as per reports.
