27 people booked for illegal mining in Pinjore
The regional police have booked 27 people for illegal mining in Pinjore. District mining officer Rajiv Kumar had written to the Panchkula Deputy Commissioner of Police for registering an FIR after which the police took charge towards 27 people.
As per the complaint, in Surajpur, Ghumthala, Rampur Seudi and on Nalgarh street, the accused had been protecting sand shares. When the mining department tried to inquire about the purchase of sand, they would not show any proof.
Kumar alleged that it appeared that the sand had come by means of illegal mining. He also furnished the list of stockists. He alleged that the stocks of sand had been located alongside the road, which additionally violated stipulations laid down by means of the Public Works Department.
The police registered the FIR according to the Mines and Minerals (progress and legislation) Act, 1957.
The accused included M/s Rana trading Company, M/s Guru Kirpa Gravel, M/s Thakur Carriage Contractor, M/s Sharma constructing material, M/s Sainia Enterprises, M/s Shiv Shakti building, M/s pals constructing material, M/s Khan Traders, M/s Amarnath Building, M/s Shiv Bhole Building and M/s Shinde Building Material.
