Income Tax department Seized Two Bank Accounts of Punjab Minister Navjot Singh Sidhu
The Income Tax Department has taken huge action against Punjab’s local body minister Navjot Singh Sidhu. Two bank accounts of Sidhu have been sealed for not paying tax. He has been told to pay Rs 52 lakh. According to the department, Sidhu showed about 28 lakh on clothes in the income tax returns of 2014-15, more than 38 lakh on travel, about 18 lakh on fuel, more than 47 lakhs on staff salary,
But they did not deposit their bills according to the need. The department also sent a notice to him about this, but he did not respond. Acting on this, the Department has seized two of their bank accounts.
Show expenditure, but did not give papers to prove
Income Tax Department Delhi spokesperson Surabhi Ahluwalia confirmed Sidhu’s account and said that the action was taken in February. At the same time, Sidhu said that he has answered all the notices. They have submitted all the documents. There is no money left over them
