In Chandigarh, To mark the International Day of Clean Air for Skies, the country’s tallest air purifier tower is now available at Chandigarh.
The Chandigarh Pollution Control Committee had taken a quick step to install the tower at Transport Chowk in Sector 26.
Additionally, in India it is the tallest air purifier it will cover around a 500-meter radius all around Transport Chowk. This has been installed by Pious Air Pvt Limited without any cost to the UT Administration. It will also operate and maintain it for five years without any cost.
According to the company, with the commissioning of the tower, the quality of air around Transport Chowk will improve substantially. It is estimated that about 1.5 lakh vehicles ply on this chowk every day. The trial found that air pollution in and around Transport Chowk has come down by 70 to 80 percent. The temperature of that area where it is installed, drop by 10-12 degrees below the other area of the city.
It has more advantages for individuals who are living around that area, it is very helpful to clean the atmosphere and all the surrounding which is affected with air pollution.The equipment will also show the quality index of the air it inhales and the quality index of the air it will exhale. The air purifier functions through electricity,” the report Debendra Dalai, chairman, Chandigarh Pollution Control Committee as saying.
Working of air purifier
